I want to know the kinds of real world negative things that can happen if you use an old MongoDB version prior to v4, which were not ACID compliant. This applies to any ACID noncompliant database.
I understand that MongoDB can perform Atomic Operations, but that they don't "support traditional locking and complex transactions", mostly for performance reasons. I also understand the importance of database transactions, and the example of when your database is for a bank, and you're updating several records that all need to be in sync, you want the transaction to revert back to the initial state if there's a power outage so credit equals purchase, etc.
But when I get into conversations about MongoDB, those of us that don't know the technical details of how databases are actually implemented start throwing around statements like:

But, for 2x2 tables, i.e. Two-Way ANOVA's, I want to do something like this:

Of course, ANOVA assumptions can be checked with graphical procedures, but what about "an arithmetic option"? Is that, at all, manageable? How do you test homoscedascity in Two-Way ANOVA?

Here is my scenario: I have a thermostat (very similar to the Nest) that needs to communicate with a web server. Every time you change the temperature on the thermostat, I need to send data to the web server to update it's "current stats" in the database. Easy, I can do that.
The part that I am confused about, and think websockets might be a use-case is when the user changes the temperature from the web interface. The thermostat has to pull in that information from the server to see "Oh, okay you want it to be 66 degrees."
I've thought of having the thermostat long-polling the server every 2-5 seconds to see what the "current stats" are in the database to change the temperature, but that seems like overkill.
Is there a way to open a connection between the thermostat and the server to listen for messages?

I would like to change G2 such that the statistics of G2 (min ,max,mean and SD)match G1. I have tried arithmetic scaling and got the min and max values of both G1 and G2 to match but mean and SD are still different. I have also tried Histogram fitting of G2 in G1 but that did not do what i wanted either. I am using a software called SPIDER this a question applicable to image-processing which can be performed using different software packages(OpenCV MATLABetc) .Any ideas and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I understand the difference between stack-based machines and register-based machines at a conceptual level, but I am wondering how stack-based machines are actually implemented. If a virtual machine, e.g. JVM or .NET, runs on a register-based architecture, e.g. x86 or x64, then it must use registers at the assembly level (as far as I am concerned). I am obviously missing something here. Therefore I am unsure of the distinction at assembly language.

Typically the users set some values in the front end tool that get passed as parameters to the analytical code and they either supply a dataset or choose a subset of data from an overall data source that their company provides.
Typically each analytical model sits in a larger repo amongst other analytical models so each model would usually sit in it's own module and that module would export one function which is the entrypoint in to that model. The models range from being simple models that take on the order of minutes to very complex stastical or machine learning based models and might use combinations of numpy/Pandas/Numba or Dask dataframes that take on the order of hours.

The ages range from 20-40 at intervals of 2 (20, 22, 24....40), and for each record of data, they are given an age and a beauty rating from 1-5. When I do boxplots of this data (ages across the X-axis, beauty ratings across the Y-axis), there are some outliers plotted outside the whiskers of each box.
I want to remove these outliers from the data frame itself, but I'm not sure how R calculates outliers for its box plots. Below is an example of what my data might look like. less
