This is a fully remote role!
The Job
You will be responsible for :
Developing state-of-the-art NLP algorithms, datasets and assets from the proprietary datasets for problems like Text Classification, Link Prediction, node classification, etc.
Using data to create, curate and enrich Zenius's knowledge graph
Building systems for the evaluation of free form subjective questions, and personalising content for learners using adequate data and intelligence
Working with leaders in the Academic and Content teams to enhance Zenius's tagging taxonomy to deliver best-in-class learning outcomes, and integrate third-party customer and user-generated content for alignment with enterprise-level taxonomy
Mentoring other data scientists in the team and helping them grow their knowledge base.
Influencing and shaping the NLP capability roadmap and in-house competencies of the team.
The Profile
You possess at least a degree in Computer Science or related fields with at least 8 years industry experience with R&D skills.
You are proficient in Python (pandas, numpy, scikit etc) or another scripting language Experience with R, Matlab, or other statistical tools.
You have experience applying natural language processing, data mining, or machine learning to solve real-world problems on massive data sets.
You have experience with classical NLP techniques involving Conditional Random Fields(CRFs), Hidden Markov Models(HMMs), graph theory, classical machine learning etc.
Experience with RNNs, Transformers and frameworks like Huggingface, Spacy, Stanza, PyText etc. is required
Experience with deep learning frameworks like PyTorch, Tensorflow, Keras, etc. is required
You have a strong understanding of statistics, algebra, probability and mathematical optimization.
You ideally have deep experience in Zero-Shot, Few-Shot Learning, Semi-Supervised Learning, Active Learning and other state-of-the-art techniques for small datasets.
Experience with Cloud Native Frameworks tools and products as well as horizontally scalable data stores such as Hadoop and other NoSQL technologies will be advantageous.
You are strongly interested in applying science to tackle problems in education at scale.
You possess communication and collaboration skills to work with people from a variety of technical backgrounds.
