Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Apply analytical methods and algorithms to build data products that streamline the process from data collection to generating insights for various property insurance business problems.
- Proactively collect, structure, and analyze (new) datasets that are relevant for ongoing projects.
- Drive innovation, following relevant industry/technology trends
- Perform quantitative analysis and create visualization to support the broader P&C analytics team
- Support development of enhancement of the analytical products to bridge gaps in our offering today
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 6+ Years of industry experience with a quantitative background (computer science, natural sciences, applied mathematics / statistics, engineering, econometrics)
- Deep knowledge and expertise in machine learning concepts, data science and analytics tools
- Hands on experience in Python, R, Linux servers, relational databases and SQL
- Experience in Geographic Information Systems, worked on GDAL/OGR and its low-level wrappers
- Worked on geospatial tools like QGIS/ArcMap
- Expertise in visualization tools to build dashboards such as PowerBI, Dash, R-shiny
- Primary property insurance market knowledge is a plus, having worked in a similar supporting role for an insurance, consulting or analytics company
- Experience in Catastrophe Modelling and/or conducting analysis with widely used CAT models is a plus.
