Criteria for the Role:

• Have a minimum of 3 years of experience (we are also looking for senior data analysts with 7+ years of experience) working as a Data Analyst performing Data Profiling using SQL


• Experience with one or more Cloud platforms – AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and others


• Data experience working with complex large datasets / big data performing Data analysis, data profiling experiences


• Source-to-target mapping experience (including complex business rules) while transforming business/functional requirements to technical specifications.


• Experience with BI/Reporting such as Cognos/BOBJ/MicroStrategy/SSRS and Data Visualizations Tools like Power BI, Tableau, Qlick, etc.


• Understanding and experience of ETL, Data Warehousing, Data Governance projects


• Hands-on with navigating in both a relational and non-relational. SQL skillset is strongly desired.


• Knowledge of SAS/R/Java/Scala/Apache Spark is a bonus


• Experience and knowledge of one or more domains – US Healthcare, Banking, and/or Supply Chain/Inventory Management, Consumer Goods, Telecom, Hospitality, Logistics


• Excellent communication, creative problem solver, flexible, proactive, attitude to learn newer tools/technologies and have demonstrated experience in effectively working within a fast paced, ever changing environment. 


• Demonstrated experience in effectively managing multiple projects and activities in a timely, organized manner 


• Demonstrated experience in organizing and prioritizing work, meeting deadlines and working independently as well as collaboratively with others. 


• Education Qualification - Master of Science (preferably in Computer and Information Sciences or Business Information Technology) or an Engineering degree in the above areas. 


• Understanding of Data Models & data modeling techniques.


• Experience working in an agile software delivery model is required.


• Validate requirements with stakeholders and the project team, provide suggestions and recommendations based on previous experience and industry best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Gather and analyze business requirements to create technical specifications like source-to-target mapping, data modelling diagrams, etc.


• Mining, filtering, and cleaning data in preparation of but limited to data analysis. Interpret data, analyze results, prepare data analysis reports. 


• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.


• Adept at SQL queries, Report creation/writing and presenting findings.


• Analysis of data to extract business logic under different business and technical BI reports (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)


• Document, discuss and resolved business, data and analytics/reporting issues within the team, across functional teams, and with business stakeholders.


• Understanding and experience to setup Metadata management like Data Dictionary, Data Glossary, Data Lineage for Data Governance aspects of project.


• Own and Lead Data Analysis during different phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)


• Able to write pseudo-code, algorithms for requirements.


• Present written and verbal data analysis findings, to both the project team and business stakeholders.


• Manage changing priorities and work on multiple projects concurrently.


• Self-motivated and proactive in a fast-paced environment.


• Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements and complete artifacts, including solution design, detailed technical design and data/API modeling. 


• Support all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
