ABOUT YOU
- Bachelors in a quantitative discipline, e.g. Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Finance or similar. Those with data science, actuarial certifications or Masters degree would be preferred
- 3 years or more experience in relevant quantitative analytics role
- Strong experience in advanced analytics platforms such as Python (ideally in Spark environment)
- Sound SQL skills with ability to query and analyze data; understand data complexity, models and structures
- Good understanding & hands-on experience with machine learning and statistics
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to come up with solutions to loosely defined business problems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Dynamic personality who enjoys taking ownership
- Capability to work with open source data & APIs
- Good command of MS Excel including Pivot tables and VBA
- Ability to work in cross-cultural environment
- Ability to prioritize and apply sound commercial judgment
- Ready to work with ambiguity
- Fluency in English is mandatory
- Self-starter and able to work independently
- Knowledge of insurance industry data, such as is provided by SNL, ISO, and AMBest is an advantage
