Data Science Lead Responsibilities:
Lead data science area deliverables for digital products / programs / initiatives including the allocation of work within the team, monitors the quantitative and qualitative achievements of the team, and reports results
Work as an individual contributor, providing data science expertise to digital products / programs / initiatives.

Help functions and markets with wireframing – listening carefully to their needs and helping them draw a picture of what they desire before user stories are developed and any code is written
Enable data science teams with UX design to deliver digital data science products with strong user experiences
Collaborate cross-functionally in teams involved in data driven analytics
Build and manage support models for visualization solutions built by the various global teams
Capacity to mentor junior personnel in specialized expertise around data science and visual analytics
Use domain understanding to positively change Sanofi businesses needs and enhance analytics capabilities
Apply in-depth experience with both statistical and modern data science approaches, including unsupervised, supervised, and regression algorithms. Apply advanced techniques such as random forests, neural networks and deep learning
Strong written and verbal communication skills - ability to communicate complex ideas up to people of varying technical skills
Work with developers, engineers, and MLOps to deliver AI/ML solutions for new products/services
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:
Master’s Degree in mathematics, computer science, engineering, physics, statistics, economics, computational sciences or a related quantitative discipline and 3+ years of analytical experience in an industrial or commercial setting OR PhD degree with industry experience
Experience AI/ML modelling of complex datasets
Experience data visualization standards for data science and BI visualization software Tableau and Microsoft Power BI preferred
Experience data visualization standards for data science e.g. R-shiny, DASH, plotly, JS, and ReactJS would be preferred
Experience deploying models in product-focused development environment
Experience with standard data science languages (such as Python, R, Scala, C++, Julia), and strong data manipulations skills (e.g. SQL, NoSQL, graph, etc.)
Comfortable working in cloud and high-performance computational environments (e.g. AWS, GCP, Apache Spark)
Disciplined AI/ML development (MLOps, CI/CD) and Agile delivery
Experience in coordination of digital product delivery teams in an agile manner and providing feedback to their management
Excellent written and verbal communication, business analysis, and consultancy skills
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:
Experience in UX design desired
Experience in a complex global organization.
Experience in teaching visualization tools
