Interact with IoT devices is the easiest part for me. What I'm struggling is the first 2 items. For this I was thinking to use a cloud platform like AWS(https://aws.amazon.com/),Azure IOT(azure.microsoft.com) or WATSON IBM(https://www.ibm.com/watson/). Reading the docs of them I could not see how to perform the first task or how to register a new device via a mobile app. Any comments are more than welcome.
Also I was thinking building a database on a server that will manage the users, and sending/receiving messages from the IoT device/app as this app that I'm trying to build is not so data hungry(reading temperature and interacting with 2 relays)
P.S. I know about Blynk.io but the prices/conditions that they are offering is exceeding my budget. less

I am confuse about does IoT Hub stores data somewhere?i.e. Suppose i am passing room Temperature to IoT hub and want to store it in database for further use. How it's possible?I am clear on how device-to-cloud and cloud-to-device works with IoT hub.
what is difference between Azure Internet of things suites and Internet of things hubs and its usage? Please Tell me basics of how .NET works in Internet of things. Thanks for the help!

I think of Data Lake as something very linked to big data, but where is the line between using Data Lake technolgies vs SSIS?
Is there any advantage of using Data Lake technologies with 25MB ~100MB ~ 300MB files? Parallelism? flexibility? Extensible in the future? Is there any performance gain when the files to be loaded are not so big as U-SQL best scenario...
What are your thoughts? Would it be like using a hammer to crack a nut? Please, don't hesitate to ask me any questions to clarify the situation. Thanks in advance!!
21/03 EDIT More clarifications:
has to be on the cloud
the reason I considered about using ADL is because there is no substitution for SSIS in the cloud. There is ADF, but it's not the same, it orchestrates the data, but it's not so flexible as SSIS
I thought I could use U-SQL for some... less

I'm a high school student from South Korea who's doing project with Azure IoT Hub.
I am working on a project where a raspberry pi device is sending values to an Azure IoT Hub. I would like to save this data in Azure Table Storage as this data will be used by some other services (Azure WebApp for example).
So I tried to save raspberry pi values in Azure Table Storage. But when I add endpoints of IoT Hub, I just can use only blob storage container
of course i still don't understand about iot hub please don't look so bad.
In a nutshell
I want to send raspberry pi values to Azure Table Storage and not Blob Storage however only option available to me is Blob Storage when I am setting endpoints for Azure IoT Hub.
How to send values to Table Storage via Azure IoT Hub.
by any chance, my logic for Azure is completely wrong? less

I want to use this model as a service and want to deploy it to Azure for consumption. I tried following but facing difficulties -
1) I tried deploying this as "Execute Python Script" in Azure ML studio but I am not finding an option to upload the weights. I understand I can zip all the .py files but what about the trained weights and virtual environment (I am using an old version of tensorflow)?
2) I am seeing an option of creating a Jupyter notebook but my project is created in Spyder and doesn't have .ipynb files. Is there any way to convert my .py files into .ipynb files? ALso, I have created a virtual environment with the older version of tensorflow and python version? How to take care of this while deploying to azure?

I have always worked with Hadoop on Premise, I know that servers locality is a very serious concern as it may apply higher latency.
Today with Hadoop integration on the cloud I'm wondering :
If cloud providers ( AWS, AZURE ) have the possibility to offer hosts of the same cluster on the same locality to reduce the latency?
How do we manage the latency to transfer huge data from local machines to the cloud?

The vmsize parameter is defined in the .csdef file rather than the .cscfg file that is uploaded into Azure and doesn't appear in the other included XML files of the package.
Please note that we're not looking to change the instance count (scale out) but the size type (i.e. from Extra Small (A0) to Medium (A2)).

I don't care about losing data, I just want to be able to start fresh, recreate the database and start using Code-First migrations.
Currently I am in a state where every attempt to Update-Database results in an exception being thrown or getting an error message. Also the website can't access the database correctly. How can I wipe all migrations, re-create the database and start from scratch without having to create a new project? In other words, I want to keep my code but drop the database.
Later I will also want to get the deployment database (SQL Server on Azure) in sync. Again, I don't mind dropping all the data - I just want to get it working.
Please provide any how-to steps to get back to a clean state. Much appreciated. less
I'm working on some IoT integrations and I am wondering where in the Azure I can parse my IoT data (JSON data).
My earlier workflow was this; sensor pushes data -> iot hub -> stream analytics jobs -> sql database. Stream analytics job works fine but I have heard that it is not "right" way to parse data in Azure. So what is the right and best way to do that. I need to save it to SQL database.
