Elucidation of Big Data Analytics in Banking

Companies collect and analyze big data to gain various insights about their businesses and market environment, make better decisions (Özemre and Kabadurmus, 2020), and choose more effective strategic initiatives. Baesens et al. (2016) state that BDA has dramatically changed businesses, in particular FSPs. However, according to Cavanillas et al. (2016) companies are still unclear about BDA value generation. How businesses can create value through collecting and analyzing big data and what is its return on investment are major questions that many managers struggle to find the correct answer.
