The role
We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst to join our BI & Analytics team. Data Analyst is responsible for implementing innovative, high performance and scalable reporting/analytics solutions tailored to solving business issues by leveraging data across the Toll Group.
As the Data Analyst, you will :
- Defines and builds the data pipelines that will enable faster, better, data-informed decision-making within the understanding of the application of technologies to solve big data problems and to develop innovative big data.
- Design and develop highly scalable distributed analytics solutions for efficient analysis and insight generation, using different open source and proprietary tools.
- Work closely with the data scientists, divisional insights teams and business analysts to build and operationalise high-performing analytics algorithms.
- Develop prototypes and proof of concepts for the selected analytics solutions
- Test and validate the accuracy of data transformations and data verification used in BI & analytics solutions, including unit testing, user acceptance testing and performance testing
- Understanding the quality of data sourced, its management, and liaising with data scientists, report developers and other BI & Analytics CoE experts to management the impact of data quality issues
About you
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- At least 4 or more years of relevant experience in a BI and analytics environment
- Hands on experience with Big Data technologies like Hadoop, Hive, Impala and Sqoop etc.
- Hands on experience in Informatica Big Data Engineering 10.4.1
- Knowledge on Microsoft Azure ,Azure Data Lake Storage,Azure Data Factory,Azure Blob Storage
- Hands on experince in Unix , Shell scriting, Python.
- Experience in working in both on premise and cloud-based platforms
