Any way to possibly do this without changing the SQL?

Tableau has me mystified. My database has 2 billion things; however, no matter what I do in Tableau, the query Redshift reports as having been run is "Fetch 10000 in SQL_CURxyz", i.e. a cursor operation. In the screenshot below, you can see the cursor ids change, indicating new queries are being run -- but you don't see the original queries.
Is this a Redshift or Tableau quirk? Any idea how to see what's actually running under the hood? And why is Tableau always operating on 10000 records at a time? less

I open Tableau workbook which automatically updates data visualisations because of union I made. I save this workbook as extract and collages without Tableau Desktop can view it via Tableau Reader.
What I need: This reporting format is heavily dependent on me and I need to automate this.
Is this even possible without Tableau Server?

To troubleshoot, I need to see their connection details, specifically their Custom SQL, to understand what data they are using in their extract.
Is there any way to view this connection info (specifically their SQL code) when viewing the published workbook on the server (web) version?
I am an admin and I am able to download their workbook to my desktop version of tableau, then open it, then reconnect to the data, then look through the data connections they created, to see their SQL. But it's a really cumbersome process.
All I'm looking to do is, when looking at a published workbook, see the data connection details so that I can see the Custom SQL, without going through the process of downloading I described above. less

Which leads me to : are Tableau Desktop documents, stored on a Tableau Server, downloadable by anyone with access to that link ?

But I figured that other users would also need a license to view/edit my workbooks..
My initial plan was to share my published workbooks and put them on my website so that others (that I specify) can VIEW the workbook without offering them a privilege of downloading the data. Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated...

Current Process: - We publish and refresh data sources (packaged .tdsx) to the tableau server. Our customers download the data sources and build ad hoc reports for their business needs.
Problem: - If the customer already build some views last month, is there a way to download the latest ‘.tdsx’ file and use it in the existing workbook were they created the views.Today, customer is re-creating the views using each month updated ‘.tdsx’ files.
Can you suggest a better way to achieve this? I can provide more details if it is needed.
Note: - Publishing a packaged workbook (.twbx) with views in it is not feasible as the report requirement varies most of the months. less

Whether it's Number (decimal), Number (whole), String, Boolean, etc. A few questions about this:
1) Has Tableau ever misclassified one (or more) columns of your data with their automatic labeling? If so, would you please give details?
2) Do you feel that these data type options can be improved? For example, Tableau doesn't seem to be distinguishing between unordered categorical data and ordinal data.
Thanks!
